Bernie Early first performed on the radio when he was 15 playing bass
and guitar in a bluegrass band. At 17 he was singing country music in
nightclubs and lounges. At 19 he was discovered by Fats Domino’s
manager, who took him to New York City where he signed to MGM. He
sold over a million records of a song he wrote called “Rock Doll”.
Worked with Brenda Lee, performed on American Bandstand and did
numerous TV variety shows.
In
the early sixties the rock and roll scene changed, about the same time
he signed with Columbia Records and recorded chart topping country
songs.
Now he is signed to
Rockin Truckin
Records where he is recording new rockabilly songs and kickin
truck driving tunes. He writes his own material and plays several
instruments. He’s back! Talk about paying your dues.
A
rockabilly legend returns. |
